Proving yet again that I am incapable of uploading a UI fault-free, here is the UI with the correct, functional version of the quest journal, with both the lookup buttons and the achievements window. I also accidentally included a file that's not supposed to be there. It's not hurting anything, but if you have the file eq2ui_mainhud_target-midalt.xml in your UI, feel free to delete it.
More thanks to Zenubi, who kept tweaking the graphics settings until they had a smooth progressions from maximum performance to maximum quality. He's spent most of this summer tweaking these things folks! There's now a variety of graphics settings presets available, from laptops to high-end gaming systems. Also, since that Custom Preset Customizing program wasn't really working anymore, I removed the program. Those three buttons now change which shadows are used - GPU, CPU, or none. The GPU one also sets the max draw distance to max (for rendering harvest nodes), so if you turn on GPU shadows and don't want the draw distance that far out, make sure you pick a graphics setting after the shadow setting.
I've added the AA star to the target and implied target windows. Also, I put EQ2i and Zam search buttons on the target window (but not the implied). This was for also-frequent queries of "Is that NPC/mob for a quest? Where do I get it?"
I hope you find these additions as useful as I and my guild have!
Some highlights:
Click-to-cure in player, group, and raid windows (advanced mode) - and it no longer switches your target when it casts the cure!
Compass now has two indicator lights on top - left one corresponds to the first /loc number, right one to the last /loc number. If the lights are green, going in your current direction will increase the corresponding number; if red, decrease. (And many, many thanks to Milquetowst, who first customized a compass UI to do this!)
Breath and casting windows with unique graphics.
Target and Implied Target windows have the new threat meter embedded! Target window also has buttons to swap between simple and detailed con view, to assist target (assist button is under threat indicator), and to look up the target on EQ2i and Zam.
Start button has quick-change graphic quality buttons (including 3 customizable ones), volume change buttons or sliders, and toggles for bags, the minimap, knowledge book, quest journal, in-game browser, ThorUI Notes, helm visibility, zone reuse timer view, and night vision.
ThorUI custom windows have been named as such, so editing the eq2ui_journals.xml/eq2ui_mainhud_xml files is no longer necessary when SoE adds new windows.
A summary of the customizations is included in the .zip file. Enjoy!
=====================
Release notes -
20090927 - Put in the correct version of the quest journal, and removed a file that wasn't supposed to be included. Yes, I am fail.
20090925 - More graphics settings fine-tuning by Zenubi. Lookup buttons for EQ2i and Zam added to the quest journal and target window. AA indicator added to the target and implied target windows. Background on target/implied windows hard-coded to transparent.
20090620 - Zenubi was kind enough to send me various windows I didn't have, and correct some that weren't working for him like they were supposed to. Also, for some bizarre reason the Start Button disappeared with GU 52, corrected that.
20090401 - corrected chat window
20090331 - Initial relaunch

FYI It doesn't always repeat the last number. Only about 90%+ of the time.
To tell the truth. The only reason I noticed it is I am solo leveling a guild to find out how much status is needed for each level.

In the experience window, the percents are confusing. In your example it shows 72.6.6 and 24.0.0 and 48.8.8 and 0.0.0
Whats up??
Thanks for the work.

You know... I have NO idea. I never noticed that. Given the number after the second decimal repeats the one after the first, I'd think it's duplicating the last number for some reason.
I'll see what I can do about that. Thanks for the catch!

One issue though---When I want to switch toons & go to "Camp to Character Select", I get an error message saying something like "Cannot find world server". I then have to log out of EQ2 & restart. Not major, but I thought I'd mention it. Anyone else experience this?

Not something I've been able to duplicate, and my guildmates haven't told me anything like that. Are you camping to character select using the /camp command or selecting a character/character select from the shutdown window? If you set your UI to the default, does it still happen?
On the Target/Implied windows, a bit of my bad - it wasn't the flame graphic lacking flames that was leaving the background black. The window background is just not responding to the in-game settings. Unfortunately, getting it to respond to those settings was doing weird things to other things in the window. If I can't fix that by next release, I'll make the background clear by default.

Thanks for the cheers and encouragement!
Re: target/implied background - I'm actually surprised that your implied background is fading out - honestly, it shouldn't be. When I embedded the threat meter (including the flames graphic) into the target/implied windows, the actual background is covered by the flames image - if you have no hate on the target, it's just plain black. I am looking at trying to make that area transparent instead of black, but graphics adjustments are brand new to me, so it will be an experiment of sorts.
The frame on the windows I did not know was misbehaving. Seems the frame is on the same setting as the window itself. I'll get on that and hopefully have it corrected for the next GU.

absolutely wonderful
i'm do excited that Thor is back in operation. Had used this UI before EoF was released and was sad to find it no longer supported when i came back to EQ2 last year.
i so quickly downloaded it as soon as i saw it was back from the dead, and i'm happy again ... thank you thank you thank you
i did fine something amiss though, very minor but i figured you would want to know about it ...
1- the target window seems to have a small problem with the opacity, the window opacity works fine, the frame + title opacity doesn't seem to work (although there seems to be no frames option to use) and the backdrop opacity doesn't seem to have any effect (both normal + mouseover) ... the implied target window opacity works fine and doesn't have any problems
2- group window + player window has an even smaller problem, the window opacity and the backdrop opacity works fine, but the frame + title opacity don't work, infact you cannot even turn the frames off
like i said these are really minor problems, but i figured you would want to know about any not working as expected ...
keep up the great work, and i'll be telling my friends who use to use thorUI that its back and looking better then before
