Two things: 1) Start a new game session and play without opening the in-game browser which includes DarqUI help, in-game help and external websites including some parts of marketplace transactions. I think the petition system also uses the browser. 2) Make sure DarqUI is the default UI so you don't have to use /loadui. Either of these items can destabilize a session even on a well-equipped computer.

That actually helped. I was using the ingame browser to help out with quests. Been playing for several hours now without using it. Too bad because its really useful with the wikia buttons.

Thanks

Sorry just wanted to give u another update. I did some more testing and it appears to have nothing to do with ur addon at all.

I tried using the ingame browser while not using "Make Window Fullscreen" application on this site and so far I've had no crash in a 4 hour session. As soon as I started using it I could play for like an hour and my game frooze up.

Sorry for bothering you and taking your time. And thank you for an amazing UI.

I use both (depending which icon I decide to click) MakeWindowsFullScreen and Borderless Gaming and haven't had problems with either. Since you're experiencing some issues with MWF try Borderless Gaming which does the samething but will use a tiny amount of RAM. If you prefer to continue using MWF I would suggest redoing the batch script following the Readme.txt in the MWF folder and rerun the "build.bat" batch script. Also make certain all of the contents remain in the MWF folder. To make a Windows 10 shortcut, create one in the MWF folder then drag it to AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs

Here's the link to BG: https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderles...leases/tag/9.1

Hopefully this will work for you.

No Familiar tab in Character window

Recently downloaded and installed the latest version, but for some reason, there is no "Familiar" tab in the Character window. I've checked several toons and they all lack this option. Any ideas on why?

Use the updater to make sure you have Character window v3.024 which is the version with the Familiar tab. Also on the Files page click "Open in File Explorer" and make sure the path matches your game location.

As usual, an "identified user error," haha. Had the files waiting to update, but hadn't done it. Much thanks!

Continuous maintmon setpoint warnings

I'm always setting Singular Focus, Subtle Strikes, or my offensive stance and then forgetting to get rid of them when they are no longer needed. You can set a continuous reminder for spells like this using setpoint warnings in the maintained spell monitor. There are no integer values to compare against (Timer, Amount, etc.) so it's not obvious but if you set one of the values to less than one, the result will be a continuous flashing reminder as long as the spell is active. Example:
Singular Focus
Stack LT 1
Uncheck the "only in combat" box to display the warnings both in and out of combat.

Malwarebytes alert - Updater

When using the DarqUI updater it triggers my MalwareBytes alerts. Is this happening to anyone else?

Re: Malwarebytes alert - Updater

Yep.. Norton Security complains, too. There really is no issue - it pings on something called REPUTATION 1, which is nothing more than an executable that modifies other files on the computer and doesn't have many users.

As long as you got the updater from here, you're probably safe. Of course you DEFINITELY want to check what Malware Bytes is saying is wrong. If you still question its safety, let us know what it says.

Newest update

So a couple weeks ago with the last major update I finally did, I suddenly noticed that the bottom bar was blinking green. I asked in guild and they said that my deity was close to max.....

If I could have children, I would love to have yours. Single. Best. QOL. Improvement. Evah.......

Just kidding, love your work, and now I can retire to easy street.

About the children that is cause, well.

I hate the dear things.

some changes not made

A friend recently started playing eq2 with the default UI. I recently within the last week set her up with DarqUI. On my pc, icon bar at the bottom, broker window, and crafting window all work as the screenies show. On hers, everything but the icon bar, broker window, and crafting window are still the default ones. Any suggestions? I also had to change the name of the darkUI eq2.ini file and then install maps seperately before renaming the eq2.ini file back just to get her maps to work properly. After doing this, her maps now work great but cannot figure out how to fix her other 3 issues. Thanks in advance Darqwood, absolutely love the UI. It is by far my favorite UI.

This sounds like quite a mess, sorry you're having trouble. Since your friend has not been using DarqUI for very long, I would suggest deleting the \DarqUI_v3 folder and starting over. When she runs the utility there will be Yes/No options for making DarqUI the default, installing EQ2MAP, and setting up all characters with suggested settings. All of these are set to Yes by default, so your friend should simply click "Do these items automatically" and the setup routines will do all the work. There should be no need to manipulate eq2.ini or install EQ2MAP separately.

Please post again if starting over does not give your friend a correct installation.
