Description
I wasn't sure if this could go in the Utilities section, but it is a log parser for Everquest 2.

I post updates and information on the LCT forums (a sub-forum of EQ2Flames) at this link.

LCT is an open source project, and the code can be found at this link.

There is also a windows installer created for convenience at this link. If you're not comfortable using an installer .exe file, feel free to use the ZIP file.

I welcome any feedback (positive or negative!) and any suggestions you may have regarding LCT! I just want to share what I have created for myself to the EQ2 community, and produce a great application that everyone can find a use for.

Update 06/22/2010: LCT has been updated to version 1.2.3! The changes include:

-LCT now works corectly on Linux, Mac, and Unix operating systems!
-Encounters now end based on the log timestamps instead of on real-time

Update 06/29/2010: LCT has been updated to version 1.2.5! The changes include:
-Fixed an issue with incoming healing not displaying
-Right click menus should display on Linux
-Fixed an error in parsing aoe and double attacks that were avoided

Update 07/23/2010: LCT has been updated to version 1.2.6! The changes include:
-Fixed a major bug with the avoidance report window - avoidance reports should be 100% accurate now
-Incoming healing no longer starts a new encounter
-Damage types should all show up as the same. IE: 'burn' will display as heat, 'slash' as slashing, etc
-Combatants will no longer show up as 'absorbed xxx amount of damage...'

Update 08/05/2010: LCT has been updated to version 1.2.7! The changes include:
-Fixed a bug with ally detection that caused bosses to be labeled as allies
-Fixed a few rare parse errors that would cause LCT to stop parsing correctly
-Deflected attacks should now parse correctly

Update 08/09/2010: LCT has been updated to version 1.2.8! The changes include:
-Spell Timers now available! To use, go to File -> Spell Timer Window, or check the box in options to automatically load the spell timer window
-Fixed a few minor parsing errors on 3rd party avoidance

Hmm that's interesting. Where is your eq2 directory? It should save your eq2 directory when you close LCT.

This works well for me. The only downside, (seemingly because I have EQ2 through steam), I have to find EQ2 every single time I wish to open it.

well not really anything I would be using but found it so tried it and figured it was broke. Wouldn't it be simple to just remove that pane?

Papabard, that tab is a holdover from a previous version where I used to do an "encounter verification" if you will. Essentially, if two people were on opposite sides of a zone, it would send all parse data between the two people so that no matter how far away you were, it would parse accurately for both people.

I disabled that feature because it was kind of buggy, and I never really re-addressed it. If that's something people are interested in, I could fix it and make it work.

can I ask what the group tab is? There seems to be no function for it. I click join leave and create and nothing happens.
