Icon Bar
Buff tinting Custom icons that cast Maintained buffs will now gray out in the Icon Bar when the buff is active on your character. Turn on the option from the Window Manager or the utility. Thanks to DuneWarrior for the suggestion

Note: To use buff tinting for Ascension spells that were set up before this feature was added, remove (Ascension) from the name/tooltip

The utility no longer offers two copies of Ascension and AA spells when doing a Census lookup
You can now use TNAME (the DarqUI version of %T) and ITNAME mnemonics when referencing targets and implied targets with the Icon Bar. Utility v3.1.0.9 and above will replace %T in imported hotkey macros with TNAME for compatibility

DarqUI Unified combines the best of DarqUI, DarqUI Live and EQ2Inventory into one, with some useful new features. Standard DarqUI users can now choose to make quick, permanent configuration changes right from the game screen while playing, as an alternative to loading up the external window utility. There is no longer a limit to the number of characters that can be customized, and many of the settings that were previously shared by all of your characters can now be configured for each character separately.

DarqUI Live users can take advantage of an all-new configuration app with features like Quick Setup, backup and restore, character and spell file maintenance, and a new lookup feature that queries Daybreak servers for spell lines and icons to use for your spell buttons. The DarqUI Unified configuration app has been rewritten from the ground up to provide all of the conveniences from the DarqUI Window Utility and the Live Updater. You will find many usability improvements and an uncluttered design that matches the familiar in-game window manager.

Large size windows DarqUI Unified offers larger-size versions of many windows to accommodate higher resolution monitors. Choose the size you prefer from the Updates page of the utility. These include Active Journal (quest helper), Casting Bar, Chat, Dissonance, Experience Bar, Group, Implied Target, Maintained Spell Monitor, Maintained Spells, Mercenary, NPC Spell Monitor, Pet, Player, Raid, Savagery, Target, Threat and Tracking. DarqUI windows that were already usable with higher resolutions include Detrimental Effects, Hotbars and Spell Effects.

EQ2Inventory Track and search equipment, bags, bank, shared bank, house vault, Wardrobe contents, mount and Familiar collections and up to 9 houses, guild hall and player-made dungeons per character from the DarqUI Unified interface.

Chat Log Parser features keyword, category and date/time searches that recognize English, German and French log files. Use the preset category filters or build your own using regular expressions.

EQ2MAP integration Install and update EQ2MAP alongside DarqUI with a single click.

Help system Help files are now available for all DarqUI Unified windows and utility functions. Context-sensitive help information can be accessed externally from the window utility or from the window manager in-game. Use the new, more robust "Make default" feature on the Files page of the utility to set DarqUI as your default. This will prevent needing to use /loadui from the game window which crashes the awesomium browser.

Spell Suggestions There is a new French spell suggestion file in addition to German and English.

DarqUI Unified Notifications is a Windows tray icon that checks periodically for DarqUI and EQ2MAP updates. More information for setting up and using DarqUI_Notify can be found here. The app is optional, and is included in the download on this page.

One request/suggestion. On the bottom bar could you make the green ball dual purpose and have it say open the browser?

You did a great job with Darq. I have 3 questions. I love the mouse-over of raid members where the pop shows directly over the raid member.

- Would it be possible to add 7th grp/raid layout that does not display the detrimental and cure buttons? But rather just a plain vanilla envelop showing only the grp/raid members but maintain the mouse over spell casting windows? This would be a great option for those of us who don't cure but can throw temp buffs, mana flow, time warp, intercepts etc who don't need all of the other spell boxes taking up room we don't need. The closest one you currently have available is option #4 (I prefer the horizontal) but is still a bit to busy for a non-curing character. Would a simple and advanced layout be something you could add?

-I tried to disable the TT health window but it doesn't disappear. Having the option to just show the Char health & detrimentals would be a nice option to choose.

-In the icon selection: Can any of those icons be used for other spells other than what they represent? I.e select spell, select icon? Or are the icons hardwired to the spells?

Aside from the above your UI rocks! Easy to install, easy to configure and best of all can be saved per character and BACKED UP! SAA..WEET!

sengelso66: A way to open the browser from the XP bar is a good idea, and I do have some other plans to make the XP bar more useful so there will most likely be an update, but not right away. This update needs to settle in a bit before I spring any more changes.

Accredo: Since I started modding the Raid window I've been wanting to find the time and patience to work the default basic/advanced raid modes into the way the button sets work. I'm always looking for better ways to mesh the customizations quietly into the default interface, but the raid layouts pretty much clobber Rothgar's show/hide for cures. I doubt there will be many raiders wanting to hide the detrimentals, but this definitely is an extra "project" I want to tackle. I think it would answer your request exactly.

The same basic idea applies to the Group window, although I did try out your suggestion on mode 4 this morning. The only thing stopping you from hiding the cures in mode 4 is the minimum height of the window. I reduced it to 50 and it doesn't look bad, even with pet health bars. If you want to try it out, search for MinimumSize=258,76 in the group window (it only occurs once) and change the 76 to 50. My only warning is that you'll have to stretch the window taller to see the options panel, which is why I can't officially support a super-slim horizontal mode like this.

2) The target's target health bar option doesn't actually remove the TT area, it only removes the colored health indicator behind the TT name. This is for players who feel there's "one too many" progress bars in the window. For a tank the colored health bar is great because it makes it very obvious when you lose aggro, and if your offtank gets aggro you can monitor his health at a glance and judge when to rescue it off if he's going down. If you are not a tank and you never catch aggro, I guess I can see not needing it, although the same issue applies here as with the group window -- the options panels get cut off if you slim down the window too much.

3) You absolutely can mix and match the icons and background colors however you wish on all buttons. The spell suggestions will always put the right icon/background combination on the button, but you are free to experiment especially on custom macro command buttons. You can make your own autofollow button, an AFK button -- just about anything you can do in-game you can make a button for. And don't forget that you are not limited to the spell suggestions from the utility. If you want to use a spell that's not on the menu, just type it in and choose an icon and background for it.

Sadly I have another problem and perhaps only isolated to my system. Prior to making the above changes I began to experience keyboard lockups when I clicked any C2C; in this case Arcane and Elemental (I didn't get any of the others during this time)

The following is what would happen: Btw: This also occurred after I made the above change as well:

A.
-Clean install: w/Drums GU57UI less the C2C xml's (installed your Utilities)
-Clicked (insert arcane or elemental here)
-Keyboard locked up (Numlock was not affected) which would indicate it was not a system lockup.
-Keyboard unlocked as soon as 1) the mob died or 2) The Det timer expired.

B.
-Clean install: w/Default GU57UI and your Utilities
-Clicked (insert arcane or elemental here)
-Keyboard locked up (Numlock was not affected)
-Keyboard unlocked as soon as 1) the mob died 2) Det timer expired.

C.
After I made the MinimumSize changes the above same occurred in the same sequence.

I loaded up DrumsUI GU57UI (Clean load w/o your utilities) and all was fine casting the C2C's

Accredo, thank you for this report, and I'm sorry you're having trouble with the group window. I would like to see your group window data (at least the custom part between the Start and End markers) if you would do me the favor of sending it to me in an email on this website.

I did log in and test the click-to-cures with several setup combinations and I could not get the keyboard to lock up on me. I have my graphics settings turned way way up (from checking out the new spell animations) and I was amazed at the lag spike from some of the spells, priest cures included. I tried casting a cure on a group/raid member and then immediately using the keyboard to type a tell or using the arrow keys to turn in a circle and all of those worked, save for the substantial video hiccup just at the moment the cure was cast. This is not the same symptom you described, but it was the closest thing I could get to a lockup.

I do know that in the past when manually editing the windows, I have gotten lockups if I forgot to leave a space character between empty quotes in the XML data. By that I mean if you look at the data, all of the empty slots aren't really empty. They require at least a single space character (for example: Gsay=" " as opposed to Gsay=""). But when I have made this error it locks up the game completely. I've searched through the code to see if I made this error on tooltips, class detects, etc., and so far I don't see it.

Two other incidentals: 1) I formed a raid to test the raid window for your error and just happened to switch to "basic" mode on the right-click menu, thinking about your earlier question. Interestingly, the cure banks disappeared and I was left with just the default raid layout with the spell sets overlaid on the character (modes 1 through 4). So we may already have the raid window fixed like you want it. Once I started changing spell sets between characters it snapped back out to the larger size, but if you leave the character switcher alone it works well.

2) I did discover an issue with self-curing from the group window when you don't have a group -- instead of finding yourself it tries to find "g1" which is nomenclature for the Battlegrounds compatibility. Once you form a group, "g1" makes sense to the game and the self-cures work as they should. That was a last-minute oversight on my part and I'll patch it soon. In the meantime, I suggest self-curing while soloing with the threat/detrimental icons which have no Battlegrounds references.

Trying to get the group / raid frames working on a level 90 Inquistor and its showing 4 of the 5 quick bar icons but none of the quick casting are actually working. I used the populate button and it loads the proper spells but in game the buttons don't work, they have the icons except for button 5 which has the mouseover text of the right spell, but no icon and doesn't work either.

any ideas?

I didn't test raid because group wasn't working.

edit: I did have the old version working, and I'm using Profit as a base with just your group/raid frames which I really like.

Eqmavic, thanks for posting the code from the window. It looks right, although it's not enough information to give you an answer about the icon and the spells not firing. If I could get you to send me your group window, or at least the custom part between the Start and End markers. I don't think the entire window will fit into an email on this website, so you can use darqwood -at- hotmail -dot- com. Also some quick checks:

1. Do the tooltips have the correct spell names on them?
2. What text appears in the chat window when you click a spell button?
3. Are you running a US-English client?
4. Are you using the utility to set up everything, or making manual changes in Notepad?
5. Are you running the utility still zipped inside the download? I've gotten reports that this can be done but it gives some very odd results.

eqmavic are you in a group when this happens or solo but using the group window? I know when I am solo I get the same thing. And it says you must be in a group or something along those lines in the chat window. All the spells are set up right but the new version does not fire off the spells associated with the icons.

This does not happen in the old version (the browser version) for me.

Darq,

I believe I get the same thing, when I am solo at least. Is this the same thing as the cure issue when solo you mentioned in an earlier post? Sounds like the same thing that is displayed (warning wise) in the chat window about not being in a group.

One other thing, love the new tool! Everything works like a charm with the exception of when solo. But, that is a small thing and not a show stopper at all. I looked through the code, comparing old to new and didn't see where the difference was that allowed it to work in your old version vs the new.

Thank you mtrevorrow, yes the solo targeting issue affects cures and spells cast on self when you aren't in a group, because they both use useabilityonplayer. Battlegrounds naming should not be used for self in this instance. It's been corrected here, but there are also some other items in development. I'd rather publish fewer patches instead of a stream of small tweaks which makes users grumpy if they don't have an automatic updater *wink*



Edit: even though I swore DarqUI users would never have to rummage around in their XML code again after v2.0, the solo fix is very straightforward if you don't want to wait for the patch. Search for the only instance of

&quot;g1&quot; and replace it with MemberInfoPage.MemberInfo.Name.Text

To the right on the same line, you will see a reference to "Fullname." This also needs to be changed from:

MemberInfoPage.MemberInfo.Name.Fullname to MemberInfoPage.MemberInfo.Name.Text

This will go back to targeting yourself on spells and cures whether solo or grouped. There is nothing to change in the raid window since you are always in a group when you are in a raid.

Announcing in raid when cursed and cured

I'm trying to track down the above to remove it..

When I'm cursed , I hear the usual 'ping' , but I'm also automatically announcing I'm cursed in raid chat...

The same when the curse is cured...I'm announcing that also....

It's causing grief from the raid leader , where can I toggle the text in raid chat off?

I certainly have no problem with fewer patches. I also greatly appreciate your work on this tool as it has made my job a great deal easier. Thank you for the manual fix and not sure how I missed that line.

I personally don't mind the lack of an auto updater as I prefer to have more control over what I am changing/updating. Auto updaters tend to wreak havoc if you use a pieced UI as there are several shared files that tend to get overwritten.

Edit: even though I swore DarqUI users would never have to rummage around in their XML code again after v2.0, the solo fix is very straightforward if you don't want to wait for the patch. Search for the only instance of

"g1" and replace it with MemberInfoPage.MemberInfo.Name.Text

To the right on the same line, you will see a reference to "Fullname." This also needs to be changed from:

MemberInfoPage.MemberInfo.Name.Fullname to MemberInfoPage.MemberInfo.Name.Text

Suggestion: an option to have the auto attack bar as one instead of two if using two weapons. I could adjust the height of the Threat/Detrimental window to show one bar but it cuts off the implied target.

Great work on the ui mods.

Great UI.. but I need to ask one simple question, cause I can't find it.
On my cure tab, I see my tell column is blank (Don't send tell). But I must have enabled something, cause every time I cure someone it sends a /tell. The curse cure is great how it posts something to group/raid/tell when I cast cure curse. But for the others, I don't need a tell. How can I disable this?
