Breck, I just ran through setting up some characters with custom group window layouts and the custom values were holding fine for me. Don't forget to hit the save button next to the layout mode dropdown itself. It's not enough to save all the layout customizations in the layout editor, you have to also save the fact that you want to use a custom layout and not one of the defaults. If this still doesn't make your group window stick, if I could get you to send your darqui_group.xml file from the POI folder to darqwood at hotmail dot com. I should be able to figure out what's going on if I can take a look at that.

Takabru, the command macro can be pretty much anything you can type into the chat window including spells, chat text, emotes and other commands. When you include a macro on a spell icon, it fires after the main spell, tell, groupsay and raidsay have fired (if there is anything on those lines.) You can set up a command icon that has nothing but a macro if you want--just leave the other lines blank. Make sure you don't include the / slash at the beginning of the macro line. There is a purple question mark near the macro box in the window manager that has a couple of examples if you hover your mouse over it. If these tips don't get your rez macro working, send the group or raid window config file to me as shown above and I'll see if I can figure out what the trouble is.

Hello, Darq. Just wanted to say this UI rocks. I've tried the other big name UIs and yours is my favorite by far. Keep up the good work!

Just have one problem so far: my custom group window layout is not saving. Any time the UI is reloaded the layout is reset back to default. Any ideas?

First off, I want to thank you creating a great UI interface. I have tired them all and the DarqUI works best for me.

I do have a question about the Macro section of both the Group and Raid windows. I have a Rez macro and would like to use it in both windows. Is this what the macro section was intended for? I cannot seem to get it to work. It may not be possible. Let me know.

FieryArcher, yes the shared notes are intended to be seen and edited by all characters. I found the trouble and have it fixed, although the Character window now looks like it was run over by a truck Look for a new version on the updater after the weekend. Thank you for the heads-up on this!

In the meantime there are already some small UI updates that I forgot to announce -- pet threat and mount visibility controls to name two. Use the DarqUI Live updater to get the new file versions.

I have been using the DarqUI Live for some time, love it. Great work, Darqwood!

I save some text in "My Notes/Shared Notes" tabs of Character window, the notes become empty when I log on the next time.

Don't know "My Notes/Shared Notes" are part of SoE's or of DarqUI's.

Anyone has any idea how to fix it?

The feature set is almost identical between the two versions. The primary difference is in how you customize. With DarqUI you set up everything with the utility before you log in; with DarqUI Live you customize settings one at a time while logged in. If you are happy using the DarqUI Window Utility then I would say continue using standard DarqUI. But if you have more than 8 characters to customize, or if you want to see the effects of your changes immediately in the game then DarqUI Live would be a better choice.

Ok I got the Drums version of Infocenter to work: I was missing a file. It would be nice to have it included with the auto updater though.

Is there a difference between DarqUI Live and DarqUI 2.3.3.2? I am currently using the latter.

Also, could you possibly add Infocenter as an option in your updater? I tried adding it myself, but I'm not able to get it to launch. I have it appear in the EQ2 menu but it does nothing when I launch it.


Another thing I would like to see as a possible option is a market window that has premade searches, such as what DrumsUI has. I prefer that to the favorites searches.


Some UI that I used at one time had a quest tracker that would sort by level, just as your quest journal does. I don't remember who made it; but that would be a nice feature.

Hi Neverlands, the Beastlord and Ranger don't have any good candidates for targeted spells. You may want to manually add spells or macros to the unused slots for those classes.

I have no supggested spells in my group members window for the spell buttons. My language is set to german in the darqui updater - all other alts have spells in the dropdown list but not the Beastlord.

The first thing to do is log in to the game, type /loadui and see if the interfaces appear in the list. If they do not, then they were not installed into the game's UI folder. If they do appear in the list, choose one and see if it loads up.
