Using the in-game macro, the steps are as follows:
1. target the person who's going to be the main tank
2. Click the /alias assist_Tank:assist %T macro
3. Clear target
4. Use the /assist_tank macro

I use the above to assign the MT and MA. The assign command remains on that person until I reassign them, as the raid changes through out the night. It saves having to type names with compound letters, i.e iii ttt, llll etc.

Thanks
Accredo

On the macro command, you only need to put quotes around the colon, as in

alias assist_Tank":"assist %T

On the exception, turn off "Check for updates on startup" on the Settings tab (you'll have to be quick about it when you open the utility, you have about 5 seconds before it checks automatically.) Close and re-open the utility, then manually check for updates on the Updates tab and tell me if you get the same error.

Use of alias commands

Hi Darq:

I noticed one difference though between the browser in the Full set download from the linked browser download found in the "Request" forum under "Browser and bookmarks" and that is the Browser in the full set is missing the option to add a favorite. In fact the favorites drop down is completely filled with links already. I was able to add a favorite via your utility though. But the add-a-fav on the fly in game would be fantastic to get back.

Thank you for your comments Accredo, glad you're enjoying the UI. The "new" browser has not yet been added to the DarqUI updater because it's scheduled to go in with several other pieces in a larger update between now and the next GU later in February. You can continue to use the one you downloaded from the thread on the forums. Just replace the file that came from the updater, and check the "Skip" column on the browser in the utility so you won't overwrite it next time you get updates. Any in-game favorites that you set up previously should get picked up again.

I'll take a stab at explaining the spell monitor below, and also if you hover your mouse over the various controls in the utility there is quite a lot of specific help about the different features.

The spell monitor does three things: 1) Report. In its simplest form and without setting anything up, the spell monitor is a casting bar replacement that displays the names of up to 6 spells cast by your opponent in combat. Each time the spell is recast, the name will flash in the monitor. 2) Alert. You can optionally play a sound or send a line of text into chat each time a spell in one of the slots is cast. 3) Timers. Finally, you can use the spell monitor to collect the interval of time between casts to help you predict when the spell will be recast, as well as the time that elapses after combat begins but before a spell is cast for the first time (pre-cast interval).

There are several ways to get spell names into the slots. 1) allow them to be detected naturally during combat, 2) type the spell name into the textbox at the bottom of the monitor, 3) choose it from the dropdown list (configured in the utility) or 4) fill the slot automatically from a preset list when you target a specific mob. If you fight a mob that casts one of the spells from the pre-configured dropdown or on the npc-specific spell list, any alert and recast interval associated with that spell will go into the monitor automatically.

The alert you choose for each monitored spell can be any one of the three sounds or chat texts that you configured on the options menu or in the utility. Spellcast alerts go by number, so if a certain spell has alert #2 associated with it, then whatever is in that alert slot will be triggered.

For those of us who don't grp/raid heal is it possible to add another option to the group window where the cure boxes below the names can be toggled off? And can the merc window be resized vertically to reduce it footprint? Also; do you have a manual explaining a bit more how to use the Target Tag within your Utility? I'm a bit confused about the Alert Command Presets, i.e.; channel announcements; can these be changed according to mob/spell? As I understand it atm, the raidsay examples:

1. Play sound
2. raidsay Joust Now
3. *** CURE***
seems to apply to all preset mobs under the Encounter (NPC). Am I understanding this correctly or am I missing something?

Thanks

Good to hear.

Thanks for the reply, and more importantly, thank you for the wonderful interface. The only alteration I've made is the addition of the market (I like the 'advanced' search to be on the main page) and bank interfaces from DrumsUI (simply for the 'open all' and 'deposit/withdraw all' buttons), but if I've judged your character well, I'm sure I won't be needing them soon

Sorry you're still having trouble. If all of the CDC files are the new format and you have 48 or fewer of them, then there is something in one or more of the files that I didn't expect. Can you put all of your CDC files into a zipped file and send it to darqwood at hotmail dot com. Don't post them here. If I can get a look inside I should be able to get to the bottom of it.
