You are correct, the helper is designed to prevent unattended harvesting. If you are in an area with more than 5 or so nodes within reach at the same time (I've never found such a place), then you will have to nudge your character a couple of times per minute depending on how fast your harvesting speed is. This is reasonable, and players who are at the keyboard will encounter it rarely if ever. But it discourages setting up a character next to a known respawn point and leaving it to run constantly.

I recently started using darqui and love it. So far everything works just fine except one feature, the harvesting helper.

Unless I am mistaken, once started and not being interrupted by mobs or anything, and as long as there are nodes within reaching distance, that the harvester will just keep going until it runs out of nodes, or you press stop or exit the window... is that right?

I can stand in an area that lets say have 15 nodes all right next to one another, no loss of line of sight. It will only pull 10 times and stop, and my character will put up the harvesting tool like she is done. The bar is still going across, running, targeting the next node which is right by her, but she won't harvest. The only way to get her to resume harvesting is to move her a bit and she starts again. Happens on land or in water.

I have reinstalled 3 times and I have the latest update, because now I have the new familiar button.

Any ideas, or is it only suppose to go so many times and stop?

This sounds like quite a mess, sorry you're having trouble. Since your friend has not been using DarqUI for very long, I would suggest deleting the \DarqUI_v3 folder and starting over. When she runs the utility there will be Yes/No options for making DarqUI the default, installing EQ2MAP, and setting up all characters with suggested settings. All of these are set to Yes by default, so your friend should simply click "Do these items automatically" and the setup routines will do all the work. There should be no need to manipulate eq2.ini or install EQ2MAP separately.

Please post again if starting over does not give your friend a correct installation.

A friend recently started playing eq2 with the default UI. I recently within the last week set her up with DarqUI. On my pc, icon bar at the bottom, broker window, and crafting window all work as the screenies show. On hers, everything but the icon bar, broker window, and crafting window are still the default ones. Any suggestions? I also had to change the name of the darkUI eq2.ini file and then install maps seperately before renaming the eq2.ini file back just to get her maps to work properly. After doing this, her maps now work great but cannot figure out how to fix her other 3 issues. Thanks in advance Darqwood, absolutely love the UI. It is by far my favorite UI.

So a couple weeks ago with the last major update I finally did, I suddenly noticed that the bottom bar was blinking green. I asked in guild and they said that my deity was close to max.....

If I could have children, I would love to have yours. Single. Best. QOL. Improvement. Evah.......

Yep.. Norton Security complains, too. There really is no issue - it pings on something called REPUTATION 1, which is nothing more than an executable that modifies other files on the computer and doesn't have many users.

As long as you got the updater from here, you're probably safe. Of course you DEFINITELY want to check what Malware Bytes is saying is wrong. If you still question its safety, let us know what it says.

When using the DarqUI updater it triggers my MalwareBytes alerts. Is this happening to anyone else?

I'm always setting Singular Focus, Subtle Strikes, or my offensive stance and then forgetting to get rid of them when they are no longer needed. You can set a continuous reminder for spells like this using setpoint warnings in the maintained spell monitor. There are no integer values to compare against (Timer, Amount, etc.) so it's not obvious but if you set one of the values to less than one, the result will be a continuous flashing reminder as long as the spell is active. Example:

Stack LT 1

Uncheck the "only in combat" box to display the warnings both in and out of combat.

Use the updater to make sure you have Character window v3.024 which is the version with the Familiar tab. Also on the Files page click "Open in File Explorer" and make sure the path matches your game location.

Recently downloaded and installed the latest version, but for some reason, there is no "Familiar" tab in the Character window. I've checked several toons and they all lack this option. Any ideas on why?
