Thanks for your response, your UI is awesome. I do like it a lot. I read your post and then turned off my firewall to see if it was that but i craashed again in game with my browser. Im gonna try and uninstall it and reinstall it. hope that works. Thanks for your hard work on this ui. many people like it and use it and that's because it's great !

Hi psychiea, sorry you're having trouble. I've given the new in-game browser a very heavy workout yesterday and today, and have not had any crashes at all. In fact, I'm writing this reply in-game using the new browser client. Depending on which anti-virus you are using, you may have better results excluding the entire EQII folder instead of just the awesomium executable.

There have been nearly 300 hits on the updater since yesterday so if there is a problem with the DarqUI browser, other players will be emailing and posting pretty soon.

this morning I tried a few times to load the in game browser and it crashed eq2.. this is the error,could you help please. thank you
I changed my firewall to make an acception for awesomium_process.exe ...but it still crashes...


Maybe I did it wrong. I am using win7, perhaps someone can explain in detail how to make this acception.

Hi rena, a game developer posted in the official forums about two weeks ago in this thread that a fix was on the way, but I have not seen any movement on live or test servers. I've resisted reverting the Threat/Detriment window back to an older version before the cureplayer commands existed, because the new utility no longer supports setting up the individual potion tiers for your characters.

My best advice is to continue to be patient for a few more days.

Hotbar

The DarqUI Hotbar includes a spell recast "cooldown" timer overlay. Choose "Frame and Titlebar" from the Window Settings menu to activate the timers for any hotbar. If you want timers but no frame, set the frame sliders to zero. Timer text appears in the lower-left corner of each icon and resizes as you change the size of the hotbar icons. When the spell or combat art is almost ready to be recast, the timer changes color. All of the timer defaults are preset from the downloader, or you can optionally customize the warning interval, text colors and font size breakpoints.

i cannot seem to find timer for hotabar so i can see how much time is left before i can hit a spell. please point me in right direction thanks so much. love the UI btw.

It's built into the threat window. You must be in combat for it to appear. There is an optional autoattack timer signal that can be used with or without the attack bars.

Well I fopund the problem! Last place I thought to look was my router's firewall. Turned that off and the updater worked fine.

Now to find the settings I need to allow the updater through so I can use my firewall.

The file list is served privately (and the owner does not want the location exposed) while the UI files themselves may be served from one of two different locations, one is a backup in case the first is down. Since you are not getting the version message, it tells me you are not getting the list. I wish I had more advice to offer other than making sure your firewall is turned off when you connect.

Thanks for the reply. No I don't get any message except that it cannot connect to update server. (EQ2Map updater, Profit etc all are ok).

I don't use a proxy to connect either, so am at a bit of a loss. What's the ip or domain address for the updater, so I can try and find the problem (if you are happy to give it out of course).

Despach, sorry you're having trouble. Connections are succeeding, and I don't see any recent indications of service drop. Questions: 1) When you try to connect using the older version, do you get a reminder pop-up that a newer version is available before the cannot-connect message? and 2) Are you using a proxy server to get online?

Really liked your Raid and Group windows so thought I would try the "full" version.

However when running the update, I just get an error message "Cannot connect to update server". Tried with 2.3.1 and 2.3.

I've double checked it's not my firewall (turned it off). Do you have the ip address of the update server so I try see whether it is a problem with my ISP routing or the server end?
