Anyone else having the issue where the updater will not launch anymore after the most recent java update?

Im running win 8 and can't get profit to work. I get to the launcher page click it, get a save or open gui click open and it takes me back to the same gui opening a new tab in brouser. If i click save it goes round and round with the gui . Can't get anywhere. Any help would be awesome ty

When I go to broker, it displays the wrong items and you can't do a search. My whole guild is having the same issues.

Hope you can help... Ive been getting error messages for a while stopping me from running profit to update it and with the new COE expansion it became unusable due to the crafting window. I ran the uninstaller in my control panel and went to re-install but got more error messages.

After a system restore, re-installing the latest java update and trying the recovered profit shortcut again, i just keep getting error messages like this one:

Please help! I cant figure out why it won't let me run the installer or Profit! Thanks in advance from me and my stressed girlfriend whose pc it is!

On the launcher when I go to the file path and browse for the EQ2 folder and click on it nothing goes into the window for the app to begin updating it. I tried uninstalling it through java as it doesn't seem to be in my program files and redownloading, but it still won't let me keep the chosen and correct folder.

I have been trying to find a solution for a similar problem for weeks now. I am not getting much time to play these days but at the moment it is all used up with trying various things. I posted about it here
I have looked through a lot of the posts here and tried them all and it has not changed anything. I really don't want to reformat and then find the problem is still there.

Any other suggestions?

I'm ready to scream. I'm trying to install the updater as I reformatted my computer. I have the UI installed, but every time I try to install the updater it only opens it and then when I try to update files it says I need to run as administrator, but I can't run as administrator if it's not actually installed...
I have windows 7. Help

EQ2 has a known bug that makes windows invisible - I believe their position gets corrupted and is way off screen. Changing the 'Allow windows off screen' setting won't help - EQ2 won't force the window back on screen until you try to move or resize it, which you obviously can't if you can't see it.

The only way to fix it is to delete eq2.ini and restart the game. Once you have it going in the default UI, exit and rerun the ProfitUI updater, then EQ2Maps updater (which will also be missing). That Should work.. if not, you may have to delete your character *.ini files as well as eq2.ini, and do the whole thing over again. Annoying, but doesn't take a lot of time. The time waster will be rearranging your UI in game, assuming you don't use one of the included defaults.

I know this is late, but I hope it helps.

I have been a firm follower of Profit since it came out.. I lost my raid window and CANNOT get it back.. no short cut keys.. nothing can bring it back.. and ideas would be greatly helpful.

I'm having the same issue... But I'm not getting any reason for when mine shuts down. I get to the character select window, hit "Play" and then the game stops responding. How do I fix this?
