Im having trouble with this im not sure how you enable the chat window..and i cant find the simple_eq2ui_ file anywhere . any help on this would be appreciated thanks

Working as intended.

Enable the titlebar for the chat window you type in (set the title opacity to 0 if you don't want to see it). Disabling the titlebar is scripted to reclaim the chat input area for secondary chat windows you might use for various battle spam, and the like.

If you really dislike this feature, I've provided an alternate file without it. Look for _simple_eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml in your Fetish directory and rename it to eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml.

First off, I'd like to say that this is one of the best UIs out there, and I've been using it for years.

I just updated, and I'm amazed at how fast you can crank these updates out sometimes.

But I have noticed a slight problem having just updated, I seem to not be able to see what I'm typing. Small problem, but still something that needs to be addressed.

A quick and easy fix to revert back to the default welcome screen and keep all the other Fetish features would be to take the eq2ui_mainhud_welcome.xml from the UI/Default folder and copy it to your UI/FetishNightfall folder overwriting the existing one.

I downloaded and installed Fetish, and it's working great - however, it's not displaying the updated functions on the welcome screen now, namely the DD and Hot Zone. Will this function get updated, or is there a way to revert back to the default UI for that function alone?

and you all know Im Zonx's *biggest fan* 'hope I dont bring up visions of Kathy Bates in 'Misery' !!!
Anyhow ... all of you that not only enjoy, but cant live without, this fantastic ui ...(not to mention his work on EQ2 maps btw) ... and wish to show him you appreciate the time and effort he puts in to keep this one of the fasted updated ui's after SoE breaks something ....
How about hitting that DONATE button and givin him a bit of monetary love ??

Does this have the new AA indicator that these other UI's seem to have?

That is one feature that I think is an amazing addition to the game. Knowing what mobs will still give you AA.

I downloaded this ui a couple weeks ago after years of people telling me to get a better UI than the original EQ2 base model. I must say THANK YOU!!!! I love it and cant believe I didnt get it sooner.. Thank you for the BEAUTIFUL job.. very easy to figure out after playing around for a few minutes... and a Great plus for me.. it's purple.. cant resist that Thanks again for doing such a great job

If you already have EQ2Maps installed (which you do if you've used Profit), installing Fetish is as simple as extracting the ZIP directly to the Everquest II directory. This will create a new UI/FetishNightfall directory and replace your Eq2.ini file with one that loads Fetish.

Once that's done, just run the EQ2Maps updater and you're good to go.

Although I'm somewhat leery of the potential for auto-updaters to spread viruses, I have tried for several years to find a programmer to help create an auto-updater for Fetish. So far it hasn't happened.

i want to say if this is a repeat post of someone else please disregard, i just dont have the time or energy to look thru all of the posts..

I have always used profit ui and i like it alot, but it scares me that one day there will be no more updates happening for it.. and I have several friends who have told me about nightfall and seeing it here it looks great.. I just have afew requests..

one is there a way to make it auto updating like the profit will do for me so that I dont have to go manually looking for files and dnload and install them..
and secondly since i have profit how do i install over the profit ui without getting a garbled mess.. is there a easy install program that would just do it all automactically for me? sorry to be asking but some of us have trouble with these things and dont want to end up messing up my eq2 game.. spend hours reinstalling the game and all the patches .. i would just cry.
