4 April 2009
- Razieh's AutoAttackBar v3.2 with a new function:
- Frame on will display only one bar for same delay dual wields
- Frame off will display two bars for same delay dual wields
4 April 2009
- Fixed a sizing issue with the raid window in titlebar mode
- Chat window, tabs on bottom variant no longer sets you AFK upon login
- Fixed a bug that prevented the voice chat icons from being visible after the GU51 change to the group window (both variants)
- Added v3.1 of razieh's AutoAttackBar which is fixing some crusader issue I think
3 April 2009
- Small margin added between raid window frame and contents (at the top only)
- I had messed something up with the auto attack bar in yesterday's update preventing it from becoming and staying visible. Fixed.
2 April 2009
- Player window: Threat bars should be more visible now. Also secondary threat should show up as a percentage number (no bar) if you are tanking.
- AutoAttackBar upgraded to Razieh's version 3.00 beta, which is meant to fix the issues with the bar getting stuck in the wrong mode.
1 April 2009
- Updated default UI settings yet again to work around an issue on some servers with the background mouse over opacity value being being set at 0 by default
- Raid window effect icons hopefully show up correctly now
- ControlCenter now has a checkbox to toggle the auto attack bar on/off temporarily.
31 March 2009
- Some fixes to group and raid windows re GU51
- Fixed missing numbers on sound control window after GU51
- Socials window: added some missing emotes, moved some around and fixed some bugs
- Fixed search plugin on implied target window and harmonized tooltips between windows.
- Fixed number placement on AutoAttackCalc window after GU51
- Added razieh's auto attack bar to the distribution, many thanks to him for offering to have it added to ProfitUI. If you previously had used his standalone version I suggest you remove that one or you will have two auto attack bars. Edit _ProfitUI_Settings_AutoAttackBar.txt to configure whether the auto attack bar should be shown automatically or not. It is enabled by default.
- Added a button to the Control Center to show the AutoAttackBar. Note that there is no button to deactivate it again until you relog because I'm lazy...
- Added GU51 to GU history in InfoCenter
27 March 2009
- GU51 only: Secondary threat information for tanks added to target and implied target windows. Secondary threat readout is on the left side, and a secondary threat bar will overlay your own threat bar. This bar does not change color and always remains yellow. If you would rather do without the bar let me know, not sure if this will work in actual gameplay.
22 March 2009
- Fixed the cure elemental button on the raid window.
21 March 2009
- Fixed a bug with the target/implied target windows that would automatically search/inspect your target under certain circumstances
16 March 2009
- Group window compact version now also has the option to show the background graphic behind the health/power bars as the default sized version. Also the voice icons are now visible in horizontal mode.
- Target and implied target windows now try to distinguish between the type of target and allows you to inspect players or search for mobs on the web. As always, this functionality may not work on non-English servers. Thank SOE for that.
You can configure the websites to be searched in _ProfitUI_StandardSearches.txt. If you have that file on ignore make a backup and remove the ignore for this update.
- Fixed google search links, they did not add "eq2" to the search term correctly.
15 March 2009
- Compact group window changed in the the same way as the default sized one (read below or check the FAQ). Current users of the horizontal compact variant will need to reselect the "Compact" variant from the variants menu.
6 March 2009
- Change to eq2ui_custom.xml that will allow me to never edit that file again, and that's a promise. While currently you run into problems having that file on ignore, after receiving this update you can safely put it on ignore and add whatever <include>s you want to it.
- Voice icons enabled on group window (yeah they have been there for ages, I don't know why I never enabled them - well except for the fact that I don't like that they are always visible, that's ugly, but I guess I finally gotta go with the times). Raid window still to come.
5 March 2009
- Crafting window create button no longer gets hidden during crafting but rather disabled. Since this will probably not fix the old bug with the button getting lost during commission crafting (although there is a slight chance that it does) I added a button to the upper right corner which forces that button enabled again. Do not use in other circumstances.
- Crafting window background can again be hidden via the background opacity slider. This now hides also the frame and titlebar.
- The con_version buttons in the target windows now all use the same button style.
- Default sized group window again has a black backdrop. You can configure it temporarily via a slider in the control center or permanently in the file _ProfitUI_Settings_GroupWindow.txt.
- The file _ProfitUI_MiscSettings.txt is no longer part of the UI. Instead there are now a number of new files called _ProfitUI_Settings_*.txt. If you never modified the MiscSettings you do not need to do anything. However if you did simply find the respective new file and modify it in the same way as you had modified the MiscSettings file. Do not forget to add the new files to your ignore list if you modified them.
4 March 2009
- Friends list now has buttons to send a group invite, a raid invite, or a /tell to the selected friend. To make this work sorting of the friends list is no longer possible. As always, this functionality will not work for players with non-US-ASCII characters in their names, i.e. on most international servers, because SOE does not fix their broken UI scripting engine.
24 February 2009
- Weapon appearance slots added to inventory window (only functional with GU51)
23 February 2009
- Worked around the same displacement issue with the tradeskill window in single pane mode.
22 February 2009
- Worked around a game issue with the default sized group window in horizontal mode where it would move to the top and right upon login if placed too low on the screen
20 February 2009
- GU51 only: Implied target threat meter added to player and implied target windows
19 February 2009
- GU51 only: Updated default UI settings
- Control Center now has an option to show all bank bags while not at the bank (long time users will remember this option from a while ago). Will only work if you previously toggled your bank bags visible at least once while at a bank during the same play session with that char. And you can't use the bags, only see what's in them.
16 February 2009
- Fixed default group window vertical size when in horizontal mode
7 February 2009
- Enchanter macro button change: the heart/shard request was moved to button 5 and button 3 now holds AA deaggro Touch of Empathy
6 February 2009
- Horizontal group window variant removed since there is only one default size group window now (see update notes below)
- The slight power bar color issue on the group window I mentioned last time should be fixed
4 February 2009
- The default vertical group window should now really work on Test/GU51.
- Important change to the group window (default vertical only so far): The windowsettings modes for the group window have been changed:
<
- The old "frame" mode, i.e. the background images behind the power/health bars are now controlled via the background opacity sliders (there is no black background anymore, sorry to anybody who may have been using that)
- The old "titlebar" mode, i.e. the class/level text overlay, is now controlled via the frame opacity sliders.
- The new "frame only" mode sets the window to vertical mode
- The new "none" mode sets the window to horizontal mode
- (You may need to toggle the modes back on forth once or twice the first time)
- That means that the horizontal/vertical variants will go away soon, there will only be one default and one compact variant.
- I think there may be a bug with the power bar color being different for your group members than for yourself, but I don't have time to test this right now. I'm sure someone will complain if there is really a problem, hehe.
2 February 2009
- Default vertical group window might be GU51 ready now, haven't tested it yet though. Changes already effective on live servers: The disband/kick buttons are now disabled while you have aggro, that way you can't accidentally disband group in the heat of a fight. Also the invisible /follow and /assist buttons now light up on mouse over as on the player window.
- The icon only variants of the maintained window were somewhat messed up, had never noticed that. Fixed.
29 January 2009
- Some back and forth today regarding the subclass detector regarding a change that didn't work for some people although I have no idea why. Hopefully the latest changes work for everyone again now. :-/
27 January 2009
- Market window now has buttons to do a /who on or send a /tell to the seller of an item based on a request from "zerat_ca". The /tell can be configured in _ProfitUI_MiscSettings.txt. I'm not sure how useful this will eventually be, but it was somewhat of a challenge to get this working, so it was fun. ;)
- Fixed an issue with the persona window backdrop image - it is again refreshed when you show the window (if it is already open upon login it may be incorrect/empty but I can't seem to get around that).
25 January 2009
- Collection "Add" button enlarged to accomodate longer translated text on localized clients
- You can now safely install other experience window mods if you are so inclined.
19 January 2009
- Crafting window item creation pane now has larger icons which only show when it makes sense and are properly placed when you resize the window. Also focus is taken away from the search input box when you start crafting. However you still need to click the reaction art icons once to have them receive keyboard input, it appears I cannot get around that.
18 January 2009
- Maintained window, right slim variant now correctly places the amount remaining numbers
17 January 2009
- The old tradeskill window is now really there. :p
16 January 2009
- Someone reported an issue with yesterday's subclass detector change and while I can't reproduce the issue I changed the code a bit, hopefully that works for everyone now (and note that the locale/cl_language bit in yesterday's notes was only relevant to players on localized installations who want to turn the localization off, everybody else can safely ignore that).
15 January 2009
- Old tradeskill window added as a variant.
- Small change to subclass detection to support international players who delete their /locale folder to avoid translation (you really should use cl_language English in your eq2.ini instead though).
14 January 2009
- Zoning window can now show the "Did you know..." tips by default via a configurable option in _ProfitUI_MiscSettings.txt.
- Updated Tradeskill window:
- The window has lost some fat and is now vertically resizable
- Normal/expanded state can now be made permanent via the window settings
- A button has been added to reset the recipe search (I'd add one to reset the filters as well but I can't)
- Stop button moved to the left of the recipe button to avoid accidentally hitting them when clicking reaction arts
- Recipe button no longer shows when in expanded mode
- Finally most of the window should now properly translate on localized installations
13 January 2009
- Inventory window in default layout (frame & titlebar) finally no longer moves right when expanding the appearance slots. I had wanted to change that for a long time now.
- Fixed an issue with the quest helper toggle checkbox in the quest journal
- Some translation tag updates on the persona window. In addition, all labels on the stats pages now have tooltips identical to the label to aid on localized installations where the translation sometimes is too long to fit.
11 January 2009
- Subclass detection should now also work on Russian servers. I found the Russian class names in a Russian version of ProfitUI. Apparently they didn't feel like sharing but I took the info anyway. :p Hopefully that helps someone - the incompatibility of UI scripting with cyrillic characters in player names (or elsewhere) remains.
- Fixed a bug I introduced related to subclass detection yesterday and updated persona window background image selection to the new detection system
10 January 2009
- Some more fixes and optimizations to raid window code (both variants)
- Had to redesign the persona window once more due to the way the direct access shortcuts address the tab pages. The two skill pages can now be switched at the bottom. Made the whole window yet a bit smaller by replacing SOE tabs with the more compact ProfitUI tabs. Also the Options page now has a scrollbar if you size the window too small to show all options at once.
9 January 2009
- Performance of subclass detection routine was significantly increased (other changed windows are related to this)
- Socials window now has the macro tab as the default tab
8 January 2009 - Happy New Year! :-)
- GU51 only: Target and player windows updated to include the threat level indicator between target health and power bars, on the target window also with a percentage readout. That should make the new threat window (Ctrl-T) redundant.
I also added power percentage readouts for target and implied target.
- GU51 only: Raid window updated for GU51 compatibility. Somebody should test on the Test server whether it actually works, because I didn't and I failed to make all changes they made to the default UI. Therefore let me know please.
With GU51 you should see the cure icons light up as in the group window. In addition to the existing icon you can also toggle off the cure icons via the right click menu (basic/advanced mode).
- Persona window updated to show taunt amound mod and taunt crit chance (these will only show correctly if your server has GU51, i.e. currently only the Test servers). As requested the damage reduction percentage numbers are now also displayed in addition to the absolute numbers. According to the poster who requested it it may even be a separate, unrelated stat provided by the mythical weapons.
To fit this all into the window I thought about either making a third column or a second stats tab and I did the latter, which makes the window slightly wider but allows you to make it shorter.
20 December 2008
- Persona window skills/factions tab fixed, had made the mistake of using UIbuilder for yesterday's change. Here's the handwritten version. :p
- Close button in quest journal window now also works with the window at the smallest size. This bug was my doing. ;)
19 December 2008
Triple treat from SOE in the latest patch:
- The effects windows can now display up to 45 instead of previously 30 effects. The ProfitUI windows were updated according, either resize them or just use your mouse's scroll wheel to see the additional icons once your window has filled up).
- Collections can now sorted according to various options, the quest journal window was updated accordingly. In addition, a whole bunch of other outstanding fixes and changes to layout and code of the quest journal window were made.
- Persona window now displays the house address in addition to the house zone, therefore the respective field in the persona window was enlarged a bit.
17 December 2008
- Reduced the default ambient light boost configured in _ProfitUI_MiscSettings.txt and used by the night vision button because it created problems in certain zones and with certain textures. New value is 0.8.
7 December 2008
- Fixed NBG just press enter functionality
2 December 2008
- Better EQ2MAP waypoint/tracking crosses with a black outline to increase visibility. The color of the previously white waypoint cross was change to a color which hopefully provides good visibility in all of the colorful new maps.
1 December 2008
- Added modded guild window to ProfitUI, only functional change so far is the addition of Group/Raid invite buttons. Credits go to Zonx who discovered that the /invite command will just ignore anything which comes after a space. I assume but did not test that /raidinvite works the same. I believe this may not work on localized servers which do not put a space but a comma after the character name.
Update: Removed the window again, something wasn't looking right. Will test it before reupping.
- So I ran around Zek at night with the sun outside in RL and didn't see anything. As a result the nightvision function has been given a serious boost. If you want you can configure the values in _ProfitUI_MiscSettings.txt in the Nightvision page. Still with blocky trees of course, I know you'd miss them. ;-)
- Added option to _ProfitUI_MiscSettings.txt to toggle the just press enter functionality for the Greed button on the loot window. NBGGreedIsDefaultButton=true|false
27 November 2008
- Market window no longer changes the vertical size when switching to or from the single pane mode.
26 November 2008
- Click-to-cure: You can now configure a custom macro to be executed in addition to the cure when you press a click-to-cure button. Please refer to the section on Configuring Cure Macros in the FAQ for the details and an example.
- POIfinder is no longer included in eq2ui_custom.xml. If for whatever reason you still use the old EQ2MAP with POIfinder you'll need to add the include manually.
- The clock window now auto-detects the client language and adjusts the placement of the numerical automatically according to this. Therefore the Frame & Titlebar mode (which currently was broken due to an SOE bug) has been removed.
- AutoAttackCalc: This window now also auto-detects your client language and now outputs the correct calculation result on German and French installations. Also the existing display issues on localized installations are automatically taken care of and should no longer be an issue.
24 November 2008
- AutoAttackCalc: You don't need to manually input the Spell Cast and Recovery stats anymore.
21 November 2008
- Third time's the charm: Default raid window can again be extended fully horizontally when cures are shown.
20 November 2008
- Market window: "Uncommon" move to the bottom of the tier dropdown to avoid the need to change the favorites.
18 November 2008
- Raid window: cure curse now also shows up in frame only mode.
18 November 2008
- Default raid window now also has cure curse buttons. Thanks to Sioned for pointing out that cure curse is now raid wide.
For older changelogs please refer to gm9.eq2interface.com.
